3rd XI Captain: Steve Martlew

With winter nets now under way, it is a sure sign that the new season isn't far away and with the added excitement of the clubs centenary year, 2024 promises to be a thrilling year.
Furthermore, with planned improvements to the already brilliant facilities at Billinge Road there's no better time or place to play cricket.

The 3XI plays in the West Lancashire Cricket League on a Sunday. A mix of junior players experiencing senior cricket for the first time, as well as older, more experienced social cricketers, the team will be looking to improve on the 3rd place finish in 2023.

We are always keen to welcome new players - so whether you are an established player looking for a new club

and challenge or someone who has never played before but want to give cricket a go - everyone is welcome no matter what your ability.

I’d like to wish Mike Farrell and Matty Wallace and all the 1XI & 2XI squads the best of luck for the forthcoming season as they look to push for promotion to their respective premier divisions.
It would be fantastic to add some silverware to the centenary celebrations.
Finally Id like to wish all the 3XI players a successful 2024  season – let the runs, wickets , catches flow. Up the Centenary Squirrels.

Steve Martlew
